Edited after the doctor's visit, see below
Libby has a rash that looks suspiciously like Chicken Pox. That would explain the fever and the lethargy, huh?
Here we go....
We did not get much sleep last night. They are not sleeping well because of their coughs. I am not sleeping well because they aren't. I got about four horus of patched together sleep on the couch in between whining and crying and coughing. My alarm didn't go off and I staggered out the door to work ten minutes after my mom woke us up coming through the front door.
Still not sure whether it's chicken pox. It hasn't spread much, and her blisters aren't very blistery. She only has it on her chest. It's been 14 years since I've dealt with the pox o'chicken. Ari does have a rash today though. I'd be ok with chicken pox. I prefer they have them before school age. The doctor was noncommittal...there's another side effect of the chicken pox vaccine: younger doctors really don't know what it looks like firsthand.
We will just treat it symptomatically, whatever it is. We were given prescriptions for cough medicine and antibiotics, in case the beginning bronchitis that he heard today worsens, and he knows I will use my own judgement in deciding when and if to fill the rx. I love our doctor.
